DAVIS R. STANGER
Certified Public Accountant
Davis has worked in public accounting since 1982 and worked for several large & regional firms. He worked from 1984 - 1994 as the Accounting Supervisor for Portland Public Schools. Davis started the firm in 1992 in his garage at home and later moved to our current location and brought his own clientele and joined it with the practice of a retiring CPA. Our firm places significant value on our clients and enjoy having ongoing, long-term relationships with them.
Davis is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA). He manages a diverse client base and focuses his work on helping small businesses with financial services, C-Corps, S-Corps, Partnerships, Estates and Trusts with accounting, tax planning and compliance and business transition issues.
Davis lived for 2 years in Hong Kong and is skilled in speaking Mandarin/Cantonese.
MELINDA VOSS-SELEE
Licensed Tax Preparer
Melinda has been an Oregon Licensed Tax Preparer since 2000 and began working for the Beaverton tax services firm in November, 1999.
She has 20 years of experience with preparing personal income tax returns as well as managing 20-30 payroll clients. She has extensive experience preparing payroll schedules and their associated semi-monthly/monthly payroll tax deposits. This includes quarterly/annual payroll tax reports and year-end Forms W-2 to insure that clients remain compliant with all Federal and State of Oregon filing requirements. She also works on client bookkeeping, and manages the office to make sure things run smoothly. In addition, she has been a Notary Public in the State of Oregon
for 19 years and we provide those services on a complimentary basis to our clients.
Melinda lived in Japan for 18 months from June, 1980 - December, 1981 and is familiar with the Japanese language.
DARREN STANGER
Administrative Assistant
Darren is the newest member of our team. Upon completion of his Masters in Music degree from Johns Hopkins University’s Peabody Institute School of Music in 2017 he decided that his future did not lie in the classroom. After working in the firm of Davis R. Stanger for a tax season, he decided to pursue a career in accounting and is currently attending Portland State University to obtain his Post Baccalaureate Accounting Certificate with the goal of eventually sitting for the CPA exam and at some future date purchasing the practice from Davis.
Darren lived in South Africa for 7 months and is acquainted with the Zulu language.
